Hard to find a more fairy tale debut than this. I have only watched Ricky for 1 season but he is a gifted player for sure. Great in the air, decent ball control and a penalty spot temperament to rival Le Tissier's; to top this he comes across as a down to earth player which seems like a rarity in English top flight.That apart England for decidedly average yesterday. Cleverly and Welbeck were brilliant in flashes but not consistent during the entire match. Wilshere was good for his 45 min and the supposedly injured Rooney was visibly rusty.
