While I'm disappointed that we missed out on Thiago Alcantara, I can honestly say that it might have been a bullet dodged. This is because looking at his style of play it seems a bit too slow for a club like Manchester United. Unless we were aiming to play a three man midfield with him in the most advanced role I don't see how he would have fitted in.
